- Don't get stuck in perfect measurement. A simple tally of complaints is a great start. You can make it fancy later.
- Don't prioritize based on who shouts loudest. Let the baseline numbers guide you, not the loudest VP.
- Skipping the stakeholder narrative work. If people don't know why you're focusing on this metric, they'll invent their own reasons.
- Treating this as a one-off. The baseline is a living thing. Schedule a 15-minute check-in next month to update it.
