- List your team's next three experiment ideas. Write them down on a whiteboard or in a shared doc. Keep it simple.
- Score each idea on impact (1-5) and effort (1-5). Impact is how much it helps your team's reliability. Effort is how many hours it takes. Lower effort = higher priority.
- Pick the idea with the best impact-to-effort ratio. For example, if Idea A has impact 4 and effort 2, its ratio is 2.0. If Idea B has impact 5 and effort 5, its ratio is 1.0. Go with Idea A.
- Assign one owner and a deadline. No owner = no progress. Set a deadline like "Friday at 3 PM." Make it real.

Avoid These Traps
- Picking the flashiest idea. The cool experiment isn't always the most impactful. Stick to the ratio.
- Skipping the effort score. If you only measure impact, you'll pick huge projects that take months. Effort matters.

- Forgetting to define "done." Without a clear finish line, experiments drag on forever.
