Who This Helps
This is for the junior analyst who’s tired of endless team debates about which ad to run. You want to ship a clean analysis with a clear recommendation. The Channel Basics: Offers & Creative course gives you the exact tool for this.
Mini Case
Sofia’s team spent two weeks arguing over three different ad concepts. She built a simple Angle Matrix, scoring each on proof and audience fit. The winner was obvious—it launched, and in 7 days, it drove a 15% higher click-through rate than their average. No more meetings about hunches.
Do This Now (5 Steps)
- Grab your three best creative angles. (You got these from the Creative Angles mission in the course).
- Make a simple 2x2 grid. Label one axis “Proof Strength” and the other “Audience Fit.”
- Score each angle from 1-5 on each axis. Be harsh. Is your proof a vague claim or a real customer result?
- Multiply the scores. (Proof x Fit = Total Score). The highest number wins. It’s math, not magic.
- Write your one-sentence recommendation: “We run Angle B first because it has the strongest proof for our core segment.” Ship it.
Avoid These Traps
- Don’t get fancy. A simple spreadsheet is fine. The goal is a decision, not a masterpiece.
- Don’t let the “shiny new idea” hijack the process. Score what’s on the table.
- Don’t ignore the audience fit note from your Offer Diagnosis. That’s your secret weapon.
- Don’t skip the multiplication step. Seeing the numbers side-by-side kills bias. Seriously, just do the math.
Your Win by Friday
By Friday, you’ll have a prioritized experiment, backed by your simple matrix, ready to present. You’ll replace “I think we should…” with “The data suggests we start with…”. Your team gets clarity, you get credit for leading with analysis. Go be the person who ends the debate.
